六年级是小学阶段的最后一年，各个科目的知识点也比较综合，英语也不例外，六年级英语所学的单词、语法等知识点一般与初一所学知识点都有一定的联系，同学们只有及时的复习、预习，打好小学阶段的英语基础，到了初中，英语成绩才能稳步提升。
单词是英语学习的基础，只有多背多记，积累一定的单词量，才能扎实英语基础；语法贯穿英语学习的全过程，从最简单的"is""are"等"be"动词的使用到复杂的时态问题，是英语学习必须掌握的重难点，也是常考点。
尤其步入高年级阶段，很多小学六年级的学生常常抱怨单词多、语法难、完形填空云里雾里、阅读理解如同天书。学习英语语法不能靠死硬背知识点，一定要掌握其中的学习技巧。
1.在理解的基础上学习。在学习的过程中孩子要学会在理解的基础上学习归纳语法规则和规律，这样才能融会贯通，真正学以致用。
2.归纳总结语法知识点。在学习的过程中要培养孩子善于归纳总结的好习惯，这样能加深孩子对语法知识的记忆。细心的家长会发现，善于总结语法规律的孩子能够对语法进行灵活运用，阅读理解和写作能力也比较强。
