肥胖是一个严重的公共卫生问题,在外出就餐的餐饮店摄入热量密集型食物是肥胖的一个风险因素,这些餐饮店包括外带咖啡馆和餐馆。

2022年4月,英国政府采取了和美国以及加拿大部分地区的类似政策——要求英格兰地区拥有250名员工以上的所有餐饮店使用热量标签。

那么这种给食物标注热量的做法,会影响消费者的热量摄入吗?

2024年11月25日,利物浦大学的研究人员在Nature子刊NatureHumanBehaviour上发表了题为:Evaluatingtheassociationbetweentheintroductionofmandatorycalorielabellingandenergyconsumedusingobservationaldatafromtheout-of-homefoodsectorinEngland的研究论文。

为了评估给食物标注热量的政策在英格兰地区的效果,研究团队在该政策实施前和实施后开展了两次调查,看看该政策是否会改变消费者行为。

自2021年8月至12月,他们调查了年龄、性别、族裔、教育程度不同的3308人,这些人从330家餐饮店购买过食物,这些餐饮店包括酒吧、餐馆、咖啡店、快餐店和娱乐场所,他们采集了购买信息和自我报告的食用数据。
