TheSpeciesConservationToolkitInitiative(SCTI)isapartnershiptoensurethatthenewinnovationsandtoolsneededforspeciesriskassessment,conservationplanning,andmanagingpopulationsaredeveloped,aregloballyavailable,andareusedeffectively.Theinitiativeleveragesexpertiseinpopulationbiology,computerprogramming,andspeciesconservationplanningto:buildandsupportmodelingtoolsthatareessentialtoguidingconservationactionsforthousandsofthreatenedspeciesinthewild;facilitatetheintensivemanagementofhundredsofspeciesthatarebeingprotectedwithinexsituprograms;andintegrateconservationeffortsacrossthespectrumofmanagementapproaches.
