云南云天化股份有限公司是一家具有资源优势，以磷产业为核心的综合性化工企业，是全球最优秀的磷肥、氮肥、共聚甲醛制造商，是中国最大的磷矿采选企业。
1997年，云南云天化股份有限公司由云天化集团有限责任公司（简称云天化集团）独家发起组建并在上海证券交易所挂牌上市（证券代码600096）。利用上市后有利的发展机遇，公司由原来单一的氮肥产业拓展到有机化工等领域，初步实现了产业多元化。
