例：Youmustgohometoday.你今天一定要回家。
例：Imustgetsomesleep.我必須睡一會兒了。
例：YoumustcallJennytoday.你今天要打給珍妮。
注意，如果must後面接not的話，代表不允許的意思喔。
例：YoumustnottalktoJennytoday.你今天不準跟珍妮說話。
例：Youmustnottalktostrangers.你不能跟陌生人聊天。
Must後面的動詞如果是be動詞，那就變成了「必定是」的意思。
例：YoumustbeJenny’smother.你一定是珍妮的媽媽。
例：Youmustbehungry.你一定餓了。
例：Itmustbetoughforyou.對你來說肯定很艱難。
例：Youmusthaveacar.你一定有一輛車。
musthave是個很常見的句型，musthave後面常常加過去分詞，變成musthave+p.p。
例：Youmusthaveseenmymotherbefore.你一定以前見過我媽媽。
例：Thedoorisopen;someonemusthavebeenhere.門是開的，一定有人來過了。
例：Icannotfindmywatch;Imusthavelostit.我找不到我的手錶；我一定丟了。

其實musthave+p.p的句型是must加上完成式，也就是指過去發生了什麼事情，是一種推測的語氣，算是放馬後砲的意思。
你可能會很常聽到這樣的一句話，xxxisamust.代表xxx是一件必不可少的東西啦！此時must當成名詞，意思是「必需品、必備品」的意思。
例：Computerisamustforhim.電腦對他來說是必不可少的東西。
例：Ifyouliveinthecountryacarisamust.如果你住在鄉下，汽車是必不可少的。
跟must有關的用法還有must-read跟must-have，must-have是形容詞，意思是指「必須要有的、必備的」，must-read同樣也是形容詞，意思是指「必讀的」。
例：Thisisamust-readbook.這是一本必讀書。
例：Themobilephoneisnowamust-havedeviceforchildren.現在手機已成為兒童的必備設備。
另外，must-have也可以直接當成名詞，意思變成了「必備品」。
