路遥是我国当代文坛著名的作家，在他的作品中充斥着陕北文化色彩，在小说主题和人物塑造中通过大量的充满陕北特色的描写，对人物形象和主题有了深刻的研究。在独特的地域文化影响下，路遥笔下的人物栩栩如生，向读者展现了中国黄土地特有的地貌生态，民风民情，传统习惯以及生活方式等。
《平凡的世界》这篇小说在中国文坛有不可撼动的地位，不论是情节、人物还是各种描写都对文坛有极其深刻的影响，本篇论文从小说中的民俗文化入手，以《平凡的世界》为依托，探索作品在陕北沃土中所体现出来的地域文化特色和风土人情，并借此体会路遥作品中的地域文化审美特色和地域文化内涵。
本篇论文通过四部分深入探讨《平凡的世界》中的民俗文化。第一部分主要探讨了民俗文化的含义和类型，从广义概念带入具体小说的内涵。第二部分具体阐述小说中的民俗文化在各领域中的体现，包括衣食住行、语言、节日等各方面。第三部分探析作品中的民俗文化成因，从作者和多元文化两方面进行分析。最后是民俗文化对小说创作的影响。通过这几方面的研究，为我们研究路遥作品提供一种新思路，即在民俗文化方面深入挖掘路遥小说所展现的陕北民俗文化和地域文化。
