IntroductionofAiM
2023年1月，南科大自动化学科队伍正式加入自动化与智能制造学院。学院下设控制科学技术和设计智造两个研究中心。控制科学技术中心围绕控制科学与工程一级学科形成了“控制理论与控制工程”、“模式识别与智能系统”及“导航、制导与控制”三个稳定且具有重要影响力的主干学科方向。设计智造中心涵盖工业与产品设计、智能制造、电子工程、机械工程、计算机工程、材料工程、系统工程等多个方向。
TheSchoolofAutomationandIntelligentManufacturing(TheoriginalSDIM)wasestablishedonNovember1,2018,asoneoftheprimaryplatformsatSUSTechforexploringandapplyingnewengineeringeducationconcepts.TheSchooliscloselyalignedwiththemajorstrategicneedsofthecountryandtheGuangdong-HongKong-MacaoGreaterBayAreainthefieldofautomation,focusingonthedevelopmentofadvancedcontroltheoryandapplications,artificialintelligenceandrobots,andintelligentmanufacturingasitsdistinctiveandadvantageousdisciplines.Itiscommittedtoexploringinternationalmodelsforoutstandingtalentcultivationandaimstotrainpioneeringtalentswithoutstandinginnovativeresearchcapabilities,stronginternationalcompetitiveness,andprofoundnationalandfamilysentiments.Recently,theschoolreceivedapprovaltoofferadoctoralprograminControlScienceandEngineering.
InJanuary2023,SUSTech’sautomationdisciplineofficiallybecamepartoftheoriginalSDIM.Theschoolnowhousestwomajorresearchcenters:theCenterforControlScienceandTechnologyandtheCenterforDesignandIntelligentManufacturing.TheCenterforControlScienceandTechnologyhasestablishedthreesignificantresearchareaswithinthedisciplineofControlScienceandEngineering,namely“ControlScienceandEngineering,”“PatternRecognitionandIntelligentSystems,”and“Navigation,Guidance,andControl.”TheCenterforDesignandIntelligentManufacturingspansabroadrangeoffields,includingindustrialandproductdesign,intelligentmanufacturing,electronicengineering,mechanicalengineering,computerengineering,materialsengineering,systemsengineering,andmore.
