16、alnutStreetBridge.HislastwordsbeforeheisswungbyropeovertheTennesseeRiverareGodblessyouall.Iaminnocent.March20,1906BlacksinChattanoogaprotestthelynchingofEdJohnsonbystayinghomefromwork.Themayorordersallsaloonsclosedand200menaredeputized.InWashington
17、,justicesoftheSupremeCourtmeettodiscusswhatmightbedoneaboutthelynching.JusticeHarlansays,themandateoftheSupremeCourthasforthefirsttimeinthehistoryofthecountrybeenopenlydefiedbyacommunity.JusticeOliverWendellHolmestellsreporters,Inalllikelihood,this
